Behind the scenes—step-by-step construction of a video wall for a TMC

For example, pictured above is Corona, California, where our team replaced an outdated video wall system with the latest LCD matrix technology, completely redesigning the layout, cabling, network, and interconnections of the TMC and equipment room to accommodate the new video wall infrastructure. This involved detailed planning, coordination with contractors, and precise execution to ensure a seamless upgrade. Our TMC design approach emphasizes durability, scalability, IP video and TMC software for a user-centered design, ensuring that each TMC can adapt to future advancements in traffic management technology. This also allows for virtual TMC approaches allowing users to access their TMC from anywhere virtually.

In Oceanside, CA (pictured above), the Iteris team recently gave the city’s 15+ year-old video wall a much-needed upgrade. Instead of a full replacement, we salvaged and repurposed existing structures, installing a cutting-edge 1.2mm pixel pitch LED video wall at a fraction ofthe cost of replacing the entire systems and layouts.

Meanwhile, in Texas, the City of College Station’s Traffic Operation Center (TOC)—originally designed and deployed by Iteris in 2015—was upgraded with an advanced 1.2mm pixel pitch LED video wall which replaced legacy LCD video wall (pictured above). In the City of Burleson, TX we helped bring the city’s new Traffic Management Center (TMC) to life. Designed by consultants and deployed by Iteris, the center features modern, ergonomic furniture and Planar 0.9mm pixel pitch LED video wall—delivering an unparalleled level of clarity for real-time traffic monitoring.
