ITS America Names Ramin Massoumi As Chair Of Board Of Directors

The Intelligent Transportation Society of America’s (ITS America) Board of Directors approved the election of four officers and one new member at its meeting earlier this month.

Among the new appointments was Ramin Massoumi, Iteris' senior vice president and general manager, Transportation Systems, who was named as chair of the ITS America Board of Directors. Mr Massoumi previously served as vice chair of the board.

The ITS America Board is made up of leaders in the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) industry, who set policy and direct strategies for the association.

The new appointees represent a diverse group of senior-level executives from private companies and public agencies in the mobility, technology and ITS spheres.

“We are excited to welcome our new officers and board member,” said ITS America president and CEO Shailen Bhatt. “We look forward to putting 2020 in the rearview mirror. We are optimistic about the transportation landscape in 2021 and look forward to working with these talented, experienced leaders.”

Other appointments include:

New officers

  • Vice chair – Roger Millar, secretary, Washington State Department of Transportation
  • Secretary – Desi Ujkashevic, global director, automotive safety engineering, Ford Motor Company (re-elected)
  • Treasurer – Ed Bradley, program manager product regulatory affairs, safety, Toyota (re-elected)

New board member

  • Phil Silver, transportation leader, state and local government, Amazon Web Services
